This is the (long) academic version, including a list of publications.

What I Do

I bring over a decade of experience in combining data science techniques with a sociological lens. My work focuses on topics such as migration, integration, and welfare systems. Leveraging tools like Python, R, and SQL, I employ advanced methods including machine learning, network analysis, and causal inference to deliver impactful results.

Throughout my career, I’ve led interdisciplinary teams, developed innovative research methodologies, and advised policymakers. Some highlights include:

  • Leading research groups on migration and radicalisation at Humboldt University, securing €1.5 million in funding.
  • Modelling migration flows and simulating welfare impacts using advanced data science tools.
  • Designing and validating interventions to improve societal outcomes, such as self-affirmation methods to prevent radicalisation.

What Drives Me

At the core of my work is a commitment to bridging the gap between data and real-world impact. Whether developing policy recommendations, visualising trends, or building predictive models, I aim to make data understandable and actionable.

Current Focus

Currently, I’m working as a freelance data scientist, exploring projects in machine learning, data visualisation, and applied research. I’m also continuously developing my expertise in tools like Tableau and Looker Studio.

Beyond Work

When I’m not working with data, you can find me exploring Berlin’s vibrant cultural scene, diving into books on behavioural economics, or experimenting with new ways to visualise complex concepts.
